HELMUT KIESEWETTER

Frankenheim 1947, Deutschland

Als Maler, Bildhauer, Fotograf und Zeichner kreiert er auch Installationen, Performances und andere künstlerische Aktivitäten.
In Köln studierte er Philosophie, Kunstgeschichte, Archäologie und Bildende Kunst an der Kunstakademie Düsseldorf bei Schiff und Callahan.

Er begann seine Ausstellungstätigkeit in Wuppertal, es folgten Ausstellungen in Italien, Australien, der Schweiz, Österreich, Spanien, Deutschland und Russland.
Abstrakte Arbeiten in Öl, bei denen der Künstler eine einzigartige Technik mit sehr komplexen Reliefstrukturen anwendet. Man erkennt in dem Werk filigrane Pinselstriche, die an Berge, Meere, Wolken, Feuer erinnern… und die uns zu einer ganzheitlichen Annäherung an das Analytisch-Konzeptionelle und Haptisch-Sinnliche einladen.

Kiesewetters Werke sprechen nicht nur den Sehsinn an, sondern auch tiefere Schichten unseres Erlebens. Seine gesamte künstlerische Praxis kann als Beitrag gegen das allmähliche Verschwinden des Einzelnen in der Moderne verstanden werden.
